About This Property
Please note: the photos of this home have a different set of furniture vs what is there now. The current furniture is much nicer, but unfortunately we don't have photos and the house is currently rented. The home is 1,800+ square feet. Internet is fiber optic, 200 mb/s download and 100 mb/s upload. First Floor: Galley kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, 2 stools at kitchen counter, dining table with water views that seats 6. Family room has sliding glass doors that open to the deck, a 55" TV over the wood-burning fireplace, and a nice stereo. There is also an office that has a curtain for privacy and could fit an inflatable twin or full mattress. There is a powder room and laundry room with washer and dryer. TV has an Apple TV with active accounts on Netflix, HBO Max, Disney Plus, and Peacock. Plus local channels in HD via over the air antenna. Outdoor Space: There is a large deck on the back and side of the house that overlooks the lagoon and beach. The deck is furnished with a table that seats 8 people, 4 Adirondack Chairs around a fire-pit coffee table, and 2 lounge chairs. Plus an outdoor shower for washing off after the beach. Second Floor: There are three bedrooms on the second floor. Two of the bedrooms at the back of the house both have sweeping water views. One has a private deck and fireplace. Some of the photos show these bedroom combined into a large master suite, but they have since been separated. Master bedroom 1: King Bed, wood burning fireplace, and sliding doors opening to a balcony. Westward views of lagoon and mountains. Master bedroom 2: King bed, window seat, west and south views of beach, lagoon, and mountain. Private access to bathroom and walk in closet. Other bedroom: Twin bunk bed. No views. Bathroom: Full bathroom with tub/shower and two sink vanity. Available to use: 2 standup paddle boards. 2x two person kayaks. Canoe. Crab pot. Beach chairs and beach towels. We have a local professional property manager who is available if there are any issues with the home. Bolinas is a hidden beach town with a fun, bohemian surf vibe. Most locals are very friendly if you strike up a conversation with them. Eating Recommendations ----------------------------------- Coast Cafe - It is unassuming, but the food is great. The pastries at the coffee window in the AM are all fresh baked (try the fruit danish if it is available). They are exclusively doing takeout during the COVID lockdown. My favorites are the burgers and the brisket. Eleven - (dinner only) Italian style bistro with a few specials each night and pizza. Only open Thursday - Saturday. Plus they have a small selection of delicious and quirky wines. They sell out quick, so best to call when they open and order for later pickup. Smiley's - The town bar. They have delicious cocktails, beer and wine, and surprisingly good Mexican food. You can order food on the Toast app. Bovida (next the the gas station) - Paninis, bowls, soups, and acai bowls. Lunch only. Parkside Cafe (Stinson) - Parkside is a bit more upscale than the Bolinas resaurants. They also have their own bakery - the bread is excellent. Their website accepts takeout orders. Super Markets ------------------ (1) The Bolinas Market - is a standard supermarket and also has a deli. The meat and seafood counter has great local meat and if there is a fresh catch from the town's fisherman, they will usually have that as well. (2) The People's Market: this is hidden away at the back of the parking lot by the community center. Excellent organic and local produce and other organic items. Also, don’t miss out on the farm stand that is on the side of the road on the way to town. It has the most amazing lettuce and eggs I’ve ever had. It works via the honor system, leave cash or Venmo your payment! House has a 1 car garage that you can park in. Shops and restaurants are a 4 minute walk down the street. There is a great walking loop that is about 1 mile that takes you down the beach and loops back through town. There are another great hikes in the Eucalyptus grove in town, and a trail head for longer hikes along the coast is 5 miles away.
